The Principals

DJT Consulting Group's partners have decades of successful grant writing, project management and program development experience. While the company was formed in 2000, our principals' individual consulting experience ranges as far back as 1982.

Daniel I. Armenta
Dan Armenta holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Urban Geography/Political Science and a Masters in Public Administration. He managed projects for various local and state organizations, including city councils, county boards of supervisors, municipal departments, and other government bodies since 1986. His expertise includes developing and implementing projects in the areas of law enforcement, public works and utilities, community services, and regional collaborations.

Trudy C. Kilian
Trudy Kilian has a Master of Science degree in Organizational Development/Industrial Psychology. Since 1982, she has worked with businesses, nonprofit organizations, and all levels of government. In addition to expertise in a wide range of social services, community, and public policy issues, she has substantial experience in research, program monitoring, evaluation, and grants management. Trudy has worked on national research studies and has been a paid federal grant reviewer. She has worked with many business entities, from international companies to small start-ups. She helps businesses win contracts, grants and other funding. Her competitive intelligence skills have helped many companies, nonprofits and government entities achieve funding success.

Sherry V. Bruning
Sherry Bruning has written numerous successful federal, state, local government and foundation grant proposals, participated in strategic planning for small and medium organizations, and has assisted in program development and implementation. Her area of expertise includes writing grant proposals related to criminal justice system programs, including reentry and services for youth; housing and homelessness; substance abuse treatment; mental health; services for immigrants; services for children and families, including school-based programs; domestic violence; and capital projects. She has developed instruments to gather data, performs data analysis, and develops and maintains continuous quality improvement systems. In addition to her work with DJT Consulting Group, Sherry is Quality Improvement Director for a Silicon Valley substance use disorder treatment program (Support Systems Homes, Inc.). She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Literature/Writing.

DJT Consulting engages associates, field experts, and professional services as needed. Associates are rigorously screened and must have proven track records. Our associates are qualified individuals with specialized knowledge who bring their own skills and expertise to various projects.
